Denise Ross, MA, MFT, Marriage and Family Therapist has worked in clinical practice in San Diego, Ca for over 30 years. Specializing in counseling adults, couples and children. The focus is to assist others to develop healthy relationships personally and professionally, reduce stress, solve work related concerns, reduce depression and anxiety symptoms. Couples learn how to reduce conflict, work on relationship issues, life transitions, and build lasting relationship tools. Denise served on Board of Directors for Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego (2009 – 2010) and as a Divorce Coach. Along with private practce in Ca since 2013 she has worked counseling active Military members. For the past few years she worked/lived in Italy and Japan working with active Military in both the schools and community.
Denise has over 30 years in the field of Counseling. Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1991 in private practice in San Diego. She graduated from Lesley College in Cambridge (MA) in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Graduate Department with a specialization in Family Counseling. She interned in at a Mass. State Family Therapy Day Treatment facility in Newton (MA) leading group therapy counseling. Denise graduated with a Master’s degree, a Certified Pupil Personnel Services Credential, and a Lifetime College Instructor Credential from USIU in 1987. In 1991, she passed the Behavioral Board of Sciences Exam and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In 2019 Denise Passed the National Counseling Exam for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and included a MFT LIcense to practice in Tn.

Denise has worked in Italy and Japan with Active Military, San Diego City Schools with severely emotionally disturbed students as a District Counselor and a School Counselor (1983-2000) at Vista Academy of Performing Arts (VUSD). During those years she taught numerous public seminars on parenting to the San Diego, Encinitas and Vista School districts on various topics. She ran groups for students in the Vista Unified schools on ADHD, Coping with Divorce, Parenting and Self Esteem. She was also a Therapist Speaker at the Mira Costa Second Saturday Divorce workshop for Women.
